Time is moving fast!
We are almost into a new month!
Morning comes and so does the Hummingbirds!

We will be going to Belmopan on Friday to visit
Marla's House of Hope and Hope for Life.
You can Google both to check out their mission.
Both places minister to young girls and they need help.
We will see what God has planned.

We have been very busy.
Making quilts and pillows. We do have two new girls sewing in Buena Vista and they are doing exceptional.

They finished their quilts just in time. We had an evening where our temperature was 58 degrees. Two more quilts to finish.

Making quilted bags.

The girls in Los Tambos are busy making uniforms with a couple extra sewing days for bags and dresses.

The dresses are very causal, cool and comfy to help keep you comfortable in the hot temps.

Here is my too cute picture for the day.
Hope you all are tolerating the cold and snow. Yesterday we had a high of 95 degrees. Tomorrow rain and 71 degrees high low of 58 degrees.

A week ago today we were on our way
to Belize City to purchase the fabrics for the uniforms.
The sunrise was pretty but promised a lot of rain for the day.

We caught the bus at 7:00am and were back home by 2:00pm. It was a great trip everything went according to plan.

In LosTambos the girls are working on uniforms. The skirts are finished and now moving on to the shirts.

LosTambos had a spelling bee on Wednesday and I was in charge of the kids.
This little one is named Dennis. He speaks both English and  Spanish

It's a tough job but someone has to do it.
Darwin loves to eat! Especially galletas.
Time in Buena Vista was spent working on quilts. There are 5 girls each making a quilt. They are doing a really great job.
This week we will be able to finish at least 3.
Enjoying their reaction when they realize how capable they are
AND we do have fun.

This is my cuteness section. Just pictures of the kids doing their everyday thing hanging out at the sewing class.

Arceley taking a nap with her baby doll.

Natasha and her brother Nathaniel
Natasha and her momma handing out over 120 doughnuts that they just made.

What a blessing it is to be among all of these beautiful people.
God is so good!

PILLOWS AND MORE PILLOWS
The girls have been busy!

They are doing a great job! We are really excited about the sales!

We stopped at the tortilla shop on Thursday. It's amazing how many tortillas they can turn out with just two people. This little lady is showing Joe how it is done but he is not allowed to help. The tortillas are delicious, they were almost gone by the time we got home.

 Mother and daughter working together!
I am really glad to see this happening. It's good
that we are getting the interest from the younger ladies.

Bruce and Cindy joined us on Saturday. We picked them up at the airport and have been on the run ever since.
We attended church on Sunday at St. Andrews Anglican Church and spent most of the afternoon relaxing.

A beautiful evening, very cool night.
Tomorrow sewing in Los Tambos.

THE WEEKEND WAS GREAT!
I'm sure most of you don't want to hear that. Finally no rain for us! This weekend we could do all the fun things like dry clothes, clean the mud out of the car and go to market with out drowning.
It was beautiful. Nights are still cool in the low 60s but makes for good sleeping.

This is Joe's new office from here he can watch the hummingbirds as they fly through. There are lots of them. We need Doc Collier here to tell us what kind they are.
I'm not sure how much work he gets done but he looks busy.

I spent two days cataloging and organizing 3 totes of fabric for quilting. We all are so excited and  very thankful for all the donations that were made! Beautiful fabrics!

Today the ladies were making coffee mats. We will be selling them in several different places.
One of which is Tennessee.
Today was the last day of practice from here on out we will be making the ones for sale. We will be showing those later.

We have approximately 32 pillows for sale. We will be using Belize Market Place Face Book and several local shops. As of today I think we have already sold 10 so the girls are really excited.  AND me too. They have worked very hard and have done a nice job. I'm very proud of them.

Tomorrow we are in Buena Vista working on the same projects.
More tomorrow I hope!

Sorry about the delay...……..the internet and computer just wouldn't cooperate.
Sometimes that happens.

Today is Friday and we have been here for 3 weeks now!
So hard to believe 3 weeks ago today we punched out of the clouds above Knoxville to see a beautiful sunrise then on to Belize.

The past three weeks have been full of getting settled, organizing our sewing supplies and starting  our sewing classes.
The girls have been really busy in both sewing rooms. As you can see by our production of pillows.
We made 36 pillows!
They will soon be going to Market on FB.

Right now we have 6 ladies sewing in Los Tambos.

and we have 7 ladies sewing in Buena Vista

We are happy to have some young ladies that are really interested in learning and they are doing very well. Then we have some really younger ones who just come to play.

We have had a lot of children out
with colds and flu.
Occasionally we have had visitors...……….
This is in a tree just off the porch. We have the momma and the baby on the left and the papa on the right. They are howler monkeys and they can make a lot of noise. This day they were very quiet. The baby must have been sleeping.

This is such a beautiful place and looking around every day it never ceases to amaze me how Great God is! We are blessed to have the opportunity to serve Him.

So far my computer and the internet are still speaking to each other so maybe I will be able to give regular updates.
Have a wonderful weekend!
